Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Homelog application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Description of Service

Homelog is a household management application that helps families organize tasks, schedules, expenses, and household information. The App allows users to create households, invite members, and collaborate on household management activities.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the App. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher), you may only use the App with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms. Parents and legal guardians are responsible for the acts or omissions of their children when using the App. If you are a parent or legal guardian agreeing to these Terms on behalf of a minor, you are fully responsible for the minor's use of the App, including all financial charges and legal liability.

4. Subscription and Payments

Homelog offers both free and paid subscription tiers. All paid subscriptions are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store. By subscribing to a paid plan, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription rate
  • You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase
  • Prices may change with reasonable notice to active subscribers; any price changes will take effect at the start of the next subscription period following the date of the price change
  • All refunds are handled exclusively by Apple in accordance with Apple's App Store refund policies; we are unable to process refunds directly

Free trial periods, if offered, will automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the trial period. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to the App ("User Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and display your User Content as necessary to provide the service.

You are responsible for ensuring your User Content:

  • Does not violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Does not infringe on the rights of any third party
  • Does not contain malicious code or harmful content

6. Household Sharing

When you create or join a household, you acknowledge that:

  • Other household members can view and edit shared content
  • You should only invite people you trust to your household
  • Household administrators can remove members at any time
  • Content shared within a household may remain visible to other members even after you leave

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use automated means to access the App without permission
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by PodQ Limited and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on information stored in or provided by the App, including but not limited to financial, scheduling, or household management decisions.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PODQ LIMITED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PodQ Limited and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the App settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, or if required to do so by law. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the App will immediately cease
  • We will delete or anonymize your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, unless we are required by law to retain certain information
  • You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature within the App, subject to any legal retention requirements
  • Termination of your account does not automatically cancel any active subscriptions; you must cancel subscriptions separately through your Apple ID Account Settings
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your country or state of residence, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Nothing in these Terms shall deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory consumer protection laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may be entitled to invoke any mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence, and you may bring legal proceedings in relation to these Terms in the courts of your country of residence.

We encourage you to contact us first if you have any concerns or disputes. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve any disputes amicably before either party initiates formal legal proceedings.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
